Pilgrim Sumo wiring loom

Hi there,
Does anybody know what the Blue and Yellow wires leading from a 3 pin connector near the dash to the multi-pin connector at the rear of the car are for?
I can't find any reference to them in the wiring diagram.
Cheers,
Steve

I think you'll find that it's for the fuel sender.

Thats what I thought Tony, but looking at the fuel sender info it only needs the one lead, which is the Green/Black wire. I can't work out what the Blue & Yellow ones are which go to the same place.

Steve.

I belive the other wires are used for the low level warning light that appears on some gauges. If you have the ETB (Pilgrim supplied) ones, they will use all 3 wires. This is what I have and all 3 are wired in. If you do not have the warning light, you will not need the other wires.

However, it wouldn't hurt you to run the extra wires from the dash to the rear in case you later upgrade your instruments. Would save having to rip everything out.

Cheers,
Tony B

The blue and yellow is for the speedo sender. If you look carefully (because it's been hand written) on your diagram supplied by Pilgrim with the loom, these wires connect to the magnet by the diff that sends the signal to the speedo.

Hope this helps

If you have the ETB sender from Pilgrim you will find they are marked green, blue, yellow. You also need to earth the sender to the chassis.

I had to run a separate wire for the speedo. You can see the wiring diagram I had at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tony.br...sumowiring.jpg

RE: Pilgrim Sumo wiring loom

Your diagram is an old one!! How old is your Loom?? If you got the loom recently then Pilgrim would/should have provided a new diagram. On mine the the blue and yellow wires go to the sender, no mention of green. Of course it needs to be earthed but the bracket you will make up will earth the unit. Also the new diagram will show the additional fan, brake warning circuits etc. etc. the actual dial has 4 wires; the blue, yellow, black (earth) and if my memory is correct red/black or white/green for the feed for the instrument.
