| Re: Side Pipe diameter Jeff from what I gather they are 75mm, reducing to 50mm at the headers, remember you need the SVA edge on the end of the pipe, I went for 100mm to get more wadding into the pipe for SVA reasons. For info have a look at these prices, look cheap to me. www.milnerconv.co.uk/Pipe.htm

| Re: Side Pipe diameter Thanks Gary, I made a mistake, I was quoted for 76mm so should be OK. That is from the same company that you recommened. Yes know about the radius on the ends, I had to fix a ring of 6 mm dia steel to my last build for SVA. I just welded tabs to the ring and pushed fit for SVA. So I will go ahead and order, still not sure about the pilgrim RV8 headers though they look very restictive. I think I may buy a hydrolic pipe bender from machine mart and build my own. jeff

| Re: Side Pipe diameter Jeff regarding those RV8 headers, I know I will be slated for saying this again but, the hydraulic bender in MM will not bend thin wall (1.2mm) steel pipework without creasing and flatening the pipe. Even if you fill it with sand etc the former is for pipe with a wall thickness of up to 6mm so your pipe will flare out to the shape of the former. Made my own headers, pic attached, but used preformed bends and flanges, reason being that I have used a hydraulic bender in the past and it did not work on exhaust tube. Header is for a 360 Mopar in a Sumo.

| Re: Side Pipe diameter Darn I had hoped they were for a RV8... I want to make my own headers too, but I'm still looking for good designs to steal from I also want them to join outside the car, more or less like the real cobra's had... I don't like the idea that just 1 pipe comes out of the car... I want 4 to join into 1 outside the car. Anyway, that's just a question of taste, isn't it Michael

| Re: Side Pipe diameter Michael I to like 4 into 1 pipes, my headers stop just inside the body, then back into four pipes to the side pipe, giving the 4 into 1 look. I would hve carried on and fitted the collector on the outside but my finishing skills would not be good enough compared to a manufactured item. Not the best way to do it for performance due to changing pipe diameters but I prefer the finished look, theres enough power for me, a little lost cant hurt
