| Re: Pilgrim Underslung Exhausts This guy made himself some underslung exhaustpipes and they are just marvellous ! http://cobra-roadster.com/4images/de...p?image_id=384 http://cobra-roadster.com/4images/de...p?image_id=350 http://cobra-roadster.com/4images/de...p?image_id=351 Do you see how those pipes go up and back down, those fit perfectly in the wheelarches. He also told me that indeed there was a problem with the suspension arms, and that's how he solved it. I hope it somehow helps, but again it are not the Pilgrim ones... Michael

| Re: Pilgrim Underslung Exhausts I guess you mean a MK2 Sumo with either a V6 or a V8. If this is the case if you look in the construction manual section 3.9 figure 9b. It shows the exhausts from the back of the car going underneath the suspension arms. If you lay the pipes on the floor the pipe to box is straight it then comes out of the boxand goes towards the centre of the car, then under the back axle and then outwards and then straight underneath the boot floor. They are very low on my car but i only have problems with the small button type speed bumps. Regards Stu |

| Re: Pilgrim Underslung Exhausts Have now spoken to Pilgrim who assure me that there is only one underslung exhaust system. My chassis is indeed a Mk 2. The problem i have encountered is that with the system properly joined together the first silencer box clouts the suspension frame. After that the system nicely misses the lower wishbones (as it is designed to do) but it then exits the rear of the car so low that it is miles from the rear - ie, it does not rise up following the contour of the boot floor. Just seems a bit of a shame that a little bit more thought hasn't gone into it and that to putit right will involve all sorts of unnecessary shenanigans and the best part of the cost of a bespoke system. Rant over.
