How do you start??

Hi all,
Well I drove to York from Cardiff and picked up my rolling chassis with body yesterday, it is a thing of beauty!
I intend to remove the body and give the chassis and suspension a once over.
Are there any Ram build websites? I really just need to know what to complete before replacing the body (if it is worth my removing in the first place!).
The build manual is about 12 yrs old and has some very old black and white photos, it does not inspire confidence, has it been up dated?
I want to reserve wearing out my honeymoon period with Thunder road for when I'm desperate! Any advice on guidance welcome.
Thankyou

Re: How do you start??

I don't think much has changed, as far as Im aware even the latest RAM kits are almost indentical build wise to the earlier ones except for a slight change to the rear body mounts near the boot; guess it depends on the age of the kit you'e picked up?
Judging on the number of requests Ive had for a copy of my build manual, either the latest Realm one is unavailable, too expensive, or nobody has asked Adrian Cocking for one!!!
I dont know of any RAM build sites, but leafing through the 57 pages of the manual, I'd say it covers most things I could think of, but there will always be details on an individuals car that are different.
Id take the body off check everything at least once, and get as much fitted before replacing the body if it was me.

Re: How do you start??

I know the seat belt mounts have to be higher. However, I was thinking of mounting harnesses to each side of the rollover hoop if a la GD.
I was told the chassis has 3 mount points to allow single hoop or full bar so may have to weld!
Has anyone braced the roll hoops to anywhere?
