    Cheap 3/8in Fuel Filter

    Hi Gents
I am installing a Carter fuel pump into my Ram and already have a Filter King located near the Carb.
But thought I should add a Canister type filter between the tank and the pump.
I have tried to buy one that will locate between the roll bars, ( approx. 55mm dia.) and found that I can either get 5/16in push-on outlets or screw in ( M14x1.5 & M12x 1.5) outlets for about £7.00,
But no one appears to do a cheap one with 3/8in push-on and I do not appear to be able find any Screw-in adapters, which would enable me to easily connect it to the existing pipes.
Europa, have a flash machined part for £50.00 which seams to be very excessive for this application.

Does any one a have any suggestion on how to solve this cheaply ?

    hi steve
have you tried your local motor factors there's a huge range of large bodied 'petrol injection' filters (just have an alloy body so take more pressure) or try german & swedish or eurocarparts ? i should think you'd be looking at £5 - £15 depending on how greedy they are on prices......

    Hi Neil
Yes I have tried most of the local trade counters, but can only locate either 5/16in outlets or the screw in ones which I can not get adaptors for ( and can not turn up myself due the odd thread pitch used) therefore need to go further a field?

Steve. I got a metal bodied one from a local Diesel specialist. It had screw fittings, But they had all the adapters on the shelf.
