Gents
Doing finishing touches on my kit and wish to install an original mechanical Smiths, 'Cobra' style Speedo but the cable would have to bend too tight to miss the chassis, that is directly opposite the exit from the gear box....
Therefore any one know where I can buy a 90 degree Speedo cable drive to connect from my 'Saginaw' (GM) Gear box to the smiths Speedo cable.
Found one in Europa spares for £54 + vat but I would think they are putting a large mark up on this part and just buying it from some one else.
Any advice?
Thanks Steve

Nothing obvious on the website, I will try ringing them in the week to see if they can help

Just check which direction of rotation they give - for example, I have a 90 degree drive on my speedo, and it also reverses the rotation, for use with a "backwards reading" instrument.
Crendon has left the building................bright yellow Stag has landed.
Give Speedograph Richfield a try as well: Email: info@speedographrichfield.com![]()
thanks Richfield appears to have some, will investigate more .....
I have also been on line to Europa and they are having a 10% sale which helps a little.
cheers

update on my problem.......
Speedy cable wanted £85 plus and I needed to provide all info .. so if I get any dimensions wrong, my problem.
Europa said they can only supply one for a Ford gearbox £65
so I have decided to buy a standar Corvette part (which I have been told will fit any GM box) $44 or £44 from State side autos - my local US parts dealer.. no problems for me.
I will need to get a cable to to fit but appears to be the best & easiest solution
cheers
