    The Ram interior

Seem to be giving the interior more thought at the mo, therefore the usual questions!

Does anyone know if on the Ram the fibreglass sheet where the dash will be (comes down about halfway) can be cut off or does it help with structural integrity?

What are most dashes made of behind the leather and padding?

For the Ram door, is there a recommended way of sorting them, seems a shame to cover up all that storage space?

Do Richmond (or Richfield??) seats fit in OK with runners?

    Thanks folks

They originally sold a separate dash moulded in fibreglass; you cut away the panel behind it to fit it. Mine ended up with all of the 'built-in' dash panel removed except for about a 1" flange used to mount the actual dash panel.

Not sure about the Richfield seats, they do a narrow one which would be a good choice but not sure it it fits. Mine are the Ram seats and are nothing special, just a fibreglass tub and much more flexible than I would like.

My door panels are 'traditional' flat style with a simple pocket but going into the door and making use of that storage would be a neat idea. I should think a simple moulding would do the trick.

I have Modified the Dash Board Attachement to take a Flat Aluminium Sht so have removed all of the Flange mentioned - no change to the body as the screen support is directly in front of this area.

As I made my own Dash - leather went directly on to aluminium, except for the glove box which has 3mm of foam.

I got Hawlk Seats into my car but only after removing the fibre glass tunnel and repaneling directly to the chassis. Gives over an inch each side and seats are first class and made on mk 4 cobra frames.

    regards

    Here you go Ed
Old school RAM interior, padded vinyl onto MDF dash template with RAMglass dash panel cut away to provide a lip
If you can get the Hawk seats to fit theyre way better than the RAM 'bendy ones' (that break if you get a fat bugger in the car), and Richfield have closed anyway.

    Excellent feedback thanks guys.
I hadn't thought of cutting the tunnel cover, I guess I'll see what fits first though.
I liked the GD seats I had seen at one show and hoped they might fit if Richfield are out. I didn't know about Richfield closing but that explains why their website is down!
Jurys out on the dash! I'll wait to see how much patience I have left!
    Cheers again
