I was at the club meeting last week in Bridge of Allan.
Didn't see any/many of you there. This meeting was to arrange what runs and events would be a good idea to attend this year. The feeling of the attendees was to actually run the cars and go further afield with possible stay overs. This is as opposed to sitting in a field at shows. I like to support a lot of the local shows and some of the others throughout Scotland as well as heading down to Stoneleigh. What are the feelings of the other membership? Maybe worth starting a thread in the events section to let people know which shows they will be attending this year. We have a local Scottish Kit Car Club meet down in Kilmarnock second wednesday of every month and as a group we discuss good shows to attend and impromptu runs if we just decide it is a good day. John.

I was asking earlier in this thread about Scottish Meets and I was informed that Ed Strachan organised them, I did send him an email but as yet I have not had a reply. Is there any chance of getting the meets and Scottish shows added to the callendar. If there are any weekend meets in central scotland, I would be interested in coming along, I have not started my build, so now is the time for me to ask the questions. Geoff

I know there is no consistent place for a meet and there wasn't any over the christmas period. Over the last while I think the meets have been mainly runs to various places in the cars. (I didn't attend for many years while my builds were under way as it took time away from the car.) This obviously doesn't help the guys thinking of building a Cobra unless they know there is a run to your area.
Send another email to Ed (address is in snake torque) to see if there is any static meets coming up. I know that in the past the cars were widespread over Scotland and there wasn't that many cobra owners. So getting a local meet and decent turnout was always difficult to achieve. There seems to be a lot more. 32 on this list now probably not all members but that shouldn't stop us like minded people meeting up. John.
