Scottish Events

Has anyone got any shows, meets etc planned for the coming months?

I was in contact with Ed Strachan and he thinks some club members may be going to the Fyvie show but nothing is confirmed yet.

Would be good to hear from or meet some of you guys

Andy

Hi Clive

Thirlestane was one I was considering and also the Silverstone classic, another I had been thinking about was the Autoclassica at Culzean

Are you showing your car at Thirlestane or just going as a spectator?
How do things work for the Silverstone classic, do all the Cobra's get together once there or is it a case of just turn up and find a parking spot in the fields?

I need to get my finger out get organised in the next week or two. I haven't even got round to taxing the car yet!!!!

Andy

Hi Andy,
I will be going down to Stoneleigh via the Preston Cruise on Friday before.
Autoclassica at Culzean and quite a few others as they come and go.
Le Mans Classic in July.
A mixture of shows whether with the Scottish Kit car club or Corbra club.
Go to a lot of local shows in Ayrshire.
John.

Hi Andy,
I intend showing my car at Thirlestane on the Sunday. You can enter on line at Thirlestane Castle Rally-2008 before Wednesday 30 April.
For Silverstone you book by phoning 0871 7033848 and tickets cost £20.00 for Friday, £25.00 for the Saturday and £25 for Sunday. A 3 day pass will cost £45.00. This price is for two people (BOGOF) Parking is inside the circuit on the Cobra Club sit. This an excellent weekend with open access to all areas including pits during races!
I haven't decided about Culzean yet.

don't forget that as Silverstone is the CRC national meet, you need to be a member to park in the infield

Tony I just booked my tickets and infield pass using the details in snake torque, I assume I just need to turn up now or do I need to froward my details to James also?

On the accommodation front, do most people normally camp?

Having used Whittlebury Hall in the past for other events I was intending staying there, once I get my good lady's approval of course

Clive/John

I should be at the Bridge of Allan (18th May) and Thirlestane shows in the coming weeks, all being well. I will hopefully get along as a spectator to a few others also

Andy
