Yes, I’ve got a Cobretti Viper. Photos if possible please when it stops raining but little chance of that in Wales! Lovely and sunny here in Northampton;)

No the sound deadening is just a useful material of the right thickness to act as a filler between the chassis supports on the floor and footwells. (see Gary’s photos) to create a smooth surface on...
Nice work Gary! Looking at your footwells and floor reminded me I filled the sections with sound deadening fibre and lined it with foil to keep the heat out. You’ve then got a flat surface to...
He said she said but I tend to believe the Magnussons as they’ve provided the counter evidence. Sounds like they sowed a seed with JLR who then decided on a continuation model themselves and...
Hi Kev
I stand corrected and it’s good news that the Club membership and finances are in a healthy state. Long may that continue. There has long been confusion over this forum “cobraclub.com”...
I’m a bit confused Gary. My Viper has an all metal trans tunnel with a flat top. Useful if the prop let’s go! (metal, not the flat top). Are you shrouding yours in fibreglass and making the top...
I’m still struggling to see what the crime is here. Is it because they are “high end” replicas built from aluminium and costing more as in a DB Cobra? I ask this because JLR certainly weren’t...
A useful reminder Kev. I’ve often thought there could be a win win if the two were to merge. It seems odd we all enjoy the benefits of this forum without a membership subscription whilst the...
Plus one for SGS. Very helpful. Offered to re-gass mine if possible for about £25 but in the end my Eibach ones weren’t suitable so supplied a pair of adjustable gas ones for just about £55. 100N...
Now that’s what you call a hybrid!

That looks a neat solution although the minimum height available is 15mm which might be a bit big seeing as most stick on ones are smaller but guess they could always be cut down.

Looks neat and I suppose will prevent the usual problems of magnets flying off the prop. Presumably you used 4 equi-spaced around the ring and araldited into the drilled holes?

Glad you came along for the ride Dave. I know you’ve certainly given me advice over the years. Where has the car gone? Are we likely to see it at future meets? All the best in the future.

Looks like E10 might be coming in sooner than we thought:...
Glad to see you’re over that now David :)

Now that’s made me jealous!

Wow! Your dad had a type 35? Hope he’s passing it onto you :)

Following on from that Daytona video was the Superformance R with splitters, slats etc. Personally I thought it was gross. A failed attempt to improve on perfection. What do other people think? Sorry...
Thanks Mike will be interested to hear what Eckold say. They either are not pressurising sufficiently or they are not holding the gas.

Thanks for the link Gary. How long does it remain usable for once open and what’s the best method of sealing the tube once opened?

I’ve also got a Dax with Eckold boot struts which don’t hold the boot up. I’ve used the adjustable struts from SGS for my Viper and they came rated at 100N and they are fine without any...
The photos will be cloned from possibly a previous advert or somewhere. Quite common in too good to be true car sales.

Wish I was on the “venerable” list :)

That pretty much confirms it’s a scam. Quite often they are in Scotland out of reach of an easy viewing. As soon as you say I only live up the road I’ll pop along and view it you don’t get a...
