It all depends on length of cable and it's rating. If you have a long run of cable to your garage you may need to upgrade the cable plus the mcb. My mig is OK along as I don't turn it up too much.

You mentioned that your valve seals have gone. What makes you suspect that?

I bought a whole Corsa b, 2 infact, for the eps and sold off all the other parts and kept a spare. Free eps . The eps is abit of a pain to remove from a Corsa but if you do it yourself you can take...

I find mine really good with Corsa b and Dax fitting kit. Really easy to fit.

12.4v is not a well charged battery. Your alternator would have tried to charge it so charging should be above the 13v that you have. Sounds like the alternator is drawing voltage when engine off....

I can't see the pistons causing the problem, more like the piston rings. What's it like with the plugs removed?

If it's made to the specification of Dextron 111 it should make no difference. Garages buy any make thats equivalent.

2 wire alternator, big and small? If the red battery charge light is on the small wire must be connected and not broken, the alternator acts as the earth to the charge light bulb when engine is not...
