    Craig, I used a section of stainless steel tube where you have the lock nut. This allows the metal strap to sit closer to the fibreglass and it bolts up nice an tight.

    For what it’s worth I followed Paul’s design...

    For what it’s worth I followed Paul’s design although in aluminium and it’s worked a treat for me. Brake servo and pipe work nice and cool when stationary.

    However if you are using a Savage switch for the brake warning light it’s quite easy to also enable the switch function to test the bulb. There’s a diagram in my blog if it helps.
