That's exactly how I made mine, are you getting the tube hot before you try and dress it into the radi of the flanges? I was getting mine more or less cherry red, heating from the internal...
I modded my footwell to get my headers in ( 2" for my BB ) and to give a little extra room. Its so easy to do with GRP, just cut out and then just glass the bit removed in to where you want it.
Its...

Use a depth gauge to measure your hole depth, pats to get it right, some of the MGs holes were slightly out of alignment, good old BL quality check, they were a pig to get in some times
We just used to bend the nearest leg out, leave the inner straight, or just slight bend, this way they can be easily straightened.
Remember you are not using the split pin as a mechanical fixing,...
Long time ago when I did mine Kev but I think I may have have drilled the hub in line with the split pin hole.
Cant remember as getting old but it rings a bell.

Hi Stephan
I run a 1988 Dax which I built then, it was one of the first new chassis with the moved steering rack, and I can say it handles great, although it took a bit of time setting up the...

Looks like your set up is simular to the originals, have you had a look and seen how their's operated?
Sorry Tony working today, have a good one if you go though.
Been itching to get out somewhere and find an excuse for a run.
Hoping the White Lion might start up soon again.
Cheers

Just swap the pulley about I had this set up when I had the rover engine first time, can't remember what I used pulley wise but managed to get it to work ok
The MGB V8 is the shortest water pump for the V8 you can buy.

[QUOTE=aaronjb;597391]Slightly jealous of this furlough lark people are on ;) although my fiancee is furloughed and the threat of redundancies at the end of it makes it much less fun sounding!

The vapour cabinet I wanted for ages, to buy that size I was looking at £2.5k, but being a tight bugger I thought, " it's just a tin box and pump, "
Hopefully once I get a bit more into it I can...
Have you thought about cutting a recess box into the footwell where the manifold bend sits, really easy to do at this stage and 1" extra in the engine bay will really help and I doubt if you will...
Not good photos as garage is a bit dark and there isn't a lot of room with a big block in there, anyway, these were all gas welded tubes as I didn't have the TIG then, flanges were MIG welded...
No probs, don't forget looking at your set up as you are trying to stretch material into the corners and not crush into a square port shape, just do a few tacks in the middle of each side and when...
Made mine more or less exactly the same way for the 460, but welded stubs onto the flange first, think they were about 75mm long, didn't go for long lengths immediately from the flanges.
Made a...
The Holly system negates the need for a swirl pot, I did question them on this, got the kit with the match pump, regulator and all the bits.
Just have to get time to fit it really. They do the non...
