David - not been there, but the second Tuesday evening of my every summer month is spent at the Carrington Arms, Ashby Folville.

Quite amazing range of cars meet up there on the village cricket ground - from VSCC cars to current AMs, and everything in between. Last night I saw blower Bentleys, Citroen Decapotables, Austin 7s, Lambretta TV175 (did I mention that there are hundreds of bikes there too?) '57 Caddys, lowriders, Cobras, Lagondas, Humbers, Jags, Triumph Vitesses, Escort Mexicos, and so on and so on.

Several hundred interesting cars and bikes, probably the best kept secret in the East Midlands.

    Hi Wilf,
    Thanks for the response.
Went to Coalville............and guess what, we were the only two cars there.
I will have to find Ashby Folville on the map.
    Cheers

Let me know if you decide to go in AUgust - I can give you some reasonable directions, or we could meet up at my place, probably 5 ish miles form Ashby Folville. If it is dry, I WILL go.

    Wilf,
I am on me cowin 'olidays ( this is black country language) from Aug 6-20. So I guess that rules out the August meet.
Will it still be happening in September?
I also miss Rockingham which is sad, but Mrs L is adamant about 'er 'olidays.

    Tony,
I see what you mean about my posts.
The meeting is listed on the Custom Cars magazine events list as every 2nd Wednesday and we actually went on the 2nd Weds, but for reasons I cannot explain I did type Tuesday. Perhaps confusion comes with age.
    Well spotted.

David - so far as I know, the Leics meet runs up to October, but obviously attendance drops off in the later months and the weather and much shorter evenings play a larger part. I think you may need a diary reminder for next year unless we get an Indian summer.

Hi Wilf - just reading your notes to David and am keen to know if there will be a meet @ Ashby Folville in Sept on the second Tuesday. Had a ride out that way last weeekend, really nice part of the world and there's that rather nice looking pub there on the corner opposite the cricket club.
If you get a chance please let me know - I'm the one who broke down just as I was pulling into the car park prior to Rockingham the other week - gutted!!
    Cheers and Best Regards,

    Stuart.

Stuart - yes, so far as I know, Ashby Folville will be on next week (Sept 13th).

Weather permitting, I shall be there.

Bad luck on the breakdown prior to Rockingham - was it the master cylinder?
