Anyone see the new Marcos/TVR Clone on Top Gear tonight? Richard Hammond was twitering on about how the new SBC powered Marcos was a brilliant combination of Yank Muscle in a Lightweight British sports Car. Familiar Story?

I saw it on Top Gear and the words breaking down a number of times was mentioned in the same sentance as TVR!

mmm and the new Marcos is so cramped inside even that famous pigmy Hammond complained; note Clarkson didnt even try to get his massive carcass inside it!!
Hey if you want a Yank V8 in an uncomplicated lightweight car that breaks down a lot, you need a kit car!!!!!

I forgot that bit, when the 'Hampster' mentioned how cramped it was I noticed he actually had his seat moved closer to the steering wheel!

Much nicer looking than any TVR will ever be and it had a decent engine in it.

Bit over priced though for what it was. Did he say about 60 grand.

Just looked at their promotional video on the Marcos site - looks like a great car, very pretty.

Talking of manufacturers videos, anyone seen the new Honda TV ad? The one where the baldy beardy medallion man guy sets off on a monkey bike, progressing through all sorts of Hondas, and ends up going over a waterfall on a speedboat; somehow coming out in a balloon; brilliant; must have cost a shocking fortune!!!

Anyone notice a passing similarity between the Daytona Coupe, (ie the new Shelby Concept posted on here recently) and the new Marcos ?

The marcos looks nice, but it just shows coming up with something new is not easy..
