You probably wouldnt like how much interest they (aussie gov) take in your bank movements though!!
Gordon Brown is the son of a preacher, so Im guessing hes grown up in an unreal world where ideals are stronger than reality; and I think that might be the key to his approach; he cant see the real world as you suggest, and when he can, he has an idealist outlook that doesnt stack up in the cold light of day?
Politicians, hate em all, but wouldnt want to do their job; which i guess is the big problem; to want to be an MP, you must be the wrong sort of person to be one!!

I have always felt there should be the Brewsters option:

    none of the above.

If you don't like any of the candidates, what do you do? Spoil your paper, not vote. You just don't count.

Ho hum. I guess i will have to work at becoming a millionaire so I can stop paying any tax.

Osgood - you know that is not true. Not all Muslims are terrorists, I do actually have some Muslim friends who are good as gold, and I value their friendship.

Frankly - that kind of diatribe will get you banned from here again, and IMHO, quite rightly.

    Sad, isn't it?

Scottish National Party get devolution and votes in "our" Parliament for their country.

What do we get from the BNP?

    Osgood and Rangrov.

The dividing line between Nationalism and Racism is thin sometimes, but I think Eric can't even see the line anymore........

? I think you need to get your facts right Neil! Scotland got a devolved parliment from the UK and not England. This means we have a say in some matters but not all, as Scotland is still part of the UK. The Scottish National Party have only recently been voted in as it was Labour who held the majority in the first instance.
