I would be so appreciative if anyone can help. I am building a Pilgrim Sumo cobra and dont want to fit the Pilgrim side exhausts to the car as i think they really dont look anywhere near the part. I would love to fit the Dax exhaust system (or similar) to my car but fear spending the £1950 + VAT for them not to fit. Has anyone got any experience of fitting dax to pilgrim. My cobra has a chevvy 350 small block V8. I have read various threads and will avoid roger at Shinybitz, ive seen fat-boy northern has many very good posts but he has decided to stop making them due to increased work commitments. I also live in the north of england so i cant get my car to some of the other southern exhaust manufacturers that some of you have used. Hope someone out there can help, thank you in advance.![]()

I've often been asked, "What do you old folks do now that you're retired? Well, I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch and margaritas into urine.
Life's good, live it.
I thought the same, so I got custom chrome side pipes with quad collectors.
You just need to spec the manifold width and the length of pipe you want - got mine extended a few inches more than the standard spec.

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer
Drop Steve-art (CRC member name) an e-mail. He makes some of the best sidepipes out there and is in the Manchester area. He also gave Mark (Fatboy Northern) the details to fabricate the original style exhausts.
I would recommend him to anyone who is after quality sidepipes. See my gallery.

Understeer is hitting the wall with the front of your car, oversteer is hitting the wall with the rear.
Gary (GWAK) sidepipes.co.uk has a pilgriim, and has made a few sets of pipes for those. He is making me a set for my GD, andthough i have not got them yet, to date he has done exactly what he said he would do, sent me some sample bends and midified the pipes to exactly what i need.
(oh, and his pilgrim made a mag appearance as one of the best, so he knows what he is doing)

If it looks good Do it and dont look back
Certainly worth talking to Custom Chrome as they are in your neck of the woods - I've got a pair of their re-packable stainless 5" silencers in a side-pipe design. They were very reasonably priced, and look & sound the absolute biz. !

ps, Gwak may well do the pipes and headers and post them to you.......
he is doing my stuff that way
