    RE: Oil Cooler

Steve - original fit on 427's was, I believe a mocal 16 row, 235mm wide item. In any case, this is what I used on my 408 stroker windsor, which had considerable oil temp problems before I fitted it, and now seems OK. The only comment I have about your proposed unit is the size of the ports - we ought to aim for 3/4" bore pipework (JIC dash 12)and corresponding fittings, but if it's cheap - go for it. A new 16 row/235mm wide cooler with bigger fittings is only around 60. Main cost is in pipes and fittings etc. Remember to include an oil thermostat in your system - engines don't like overcooled oil.
PS see my post in the consumer watch section re sandwich take-off plates.
