    You do know that these Jag diffs are supposed to be virtually indestructible!!
    These track days must be far too much hooligan fun !!

    BTW would the diff have lasted longer if it wasnt handling Ford power and was cossetted in a proper chassis........

    I know this thread is old, but I was wondering if I could install a LSD from another Jaguar, XJS or XJ12, into my rearend which is a 1973 XJ6 Series I? The reason is I want to keep the gearing since its 3.54.

    My question is similar to that of the OP (which is why I didn't start another thread). How much oil do I need to fill my XJ40 power-loc diff? And would Motul 90 PA LSD diff oil be the right stuff?

    Fill with 1.4 liters for the Jaguar powr-lok but make sure you have the LSD additive with the oil.

    I think they might of changed the oil by then ! Mine worked out 1.5 ltr on XJ6 .
