But from selling a car privately it's proof that the vehicle has MOT. Yes even the old certificates could be faked, but it sure as hell wasn't as easy as just clicking "print" on a word doc.

It will just be a case of then of having to run a full HPI on a car, and thus (in my blinkered view of the world) charging for what should be free information.

You're not supposed to buy a car without HPIing it, though (Admittedly I've always bought without, but clearly I'm a risk taker and a rule breaker.. ;D)

Try Steve at Bull Ring Garage in Harbury. Its my father in-laws old garage and Steve who now owns it has always looked after me with various sportscars in the past (mainly Lotus') when it comes to MOT time. He is bit of a petrol head which helps.
