I somehow managed to shear the head off my short extension bar !!

Is it true they have a lifetime guarantee (mine are about 12 years old ). If so how do I get my broken bar replaced ?

dragging this old dog up from the long forgotten depths of the forums, to give a big

to Halfords and their Advanced professional toolkit guarantee. I managed to snap the part that goes into the sockets on my 1/4" ratchet - took it into Halfords with the broken bit, and 10 mins later came out with a nice shiney new replacement (sells for £15 by itself).

Great service and great tools - so if anyone is in the market and wondering about the quality/service - then wonder no longer - go for it - wait for the next sale as i managed to get my for 150 piece for £99, well worth the price.

    Nice one Halfords

I couldn't agree more with this thread.

I've been a spanner monkey for most of my life and could never afford Snap-on and could never see myself using 'FACOM' so when I discovered the quality and price of Halfords I was set for life.

I've lost more bits than I've ever broken. Come to think of it, I've never managed to break any bits.

    Good for Halfords

Prices are even nicer if you can get a trade card, I bought a new high lift trolley jack last month. £150 on the shelf, £101 at the till with my trade card !!

No, I'm not "repairing" it, I'm fine tuning its performance.

I've took tools back without the receipt and they have never said anything. Always changed broken part, even the plastic box (1/4 drive set )
