Cobra valve covers on a Rover

is it a straight fit to put Ford "Cobra" valve cover onto a Rover using adaptors? I'm sure I red somewhere that the Holley carb on a performer intake needs raising up with a spacer to clear the carb linkage, as it would foul on the valve cover. There's not enough room to fit a spacer under the cab on the car, so will they fit straight on?
    cheers

    Hi ,
The Ford valve covers will fit ok with the adaptor plates if you're using a Holley carb and an Edelbrock manifold, but if you're using an Edelbrock carb, then you'll need to use a spacer to lift the carb up to clear the throttle linkages.

I sell the adaptor plates and gaskets for the "Cobra" valve covers to fit a Rover V8 engine. Pm or ring me if you're interested in a pair of them .
    Regards
    Jim
