Edelbrock Carb 500 cfm on Rover 3.5 V8

    Hi All
    Newbie here.
I am going to be using a Rover 3.5 V8 in my AK cobra and want to put an Edelbrock 500cfm carb on it. However, as I have not got the chassis yet I am not sure whether the Edelbrock intake manifold and an Edelbrock air cleaner would be OK and not to high under the bonnet.
    All advice welcome.
    Many thanks

Had that setup in my AK originally but with the oval Cobra filter and it fitted no problem. As long as you don't go for the high rise inlet manifold you will be fine.

Eddy that looks like a decent setup with a nice K&N filter, I guess you are using a drop base filter but then again I think that most people do!

Tinka, the Edelbrock Performer 180 is a guess what you would call a medium rise manifold.

Nice looking engine but, remove the glass fuel filter. There are reports of the glass breaking and fuel leaking straight onto a hot engine !!

thank you, but it is not my merit.
The car comes from the UK and has since built so beautiful.

Thanks for the hint, but the filter is made of plastic (no glass).

Hi, I too use Edlebrock manifold with 14 inch 'Ford Motorsport' air cleaner on my MKI AK. No clearance problems. Have you got a gearbox yet? I will be selling my spare one from sd1 soon. Regards, Jules.

If its an LT 77 then I hope you have driven the car it came from and you know it to be good. I wouldn't even think about fitting one otherwise.

Just do a google search they are pretty naff.
