Can I borrow your engine crane?

Hi, I'll be putting my engine/gearbox in my AK towards the end of next week (Thu 19th/Fri 20th) and wondered if anyone has an an engine crane I can borrow for a few days? Preferably in the Berks/Hants/Oxon area and one than can fold down for transportation? Would help if it had some chains and/or straps to fit the the lifting points on the engine?

    Many thanks, Mike

I'm probably a bit out of your way but I have one you could borrow if needed.

    Mike,
I'm about an hour from you. I've got a foldable hoist with load leveller and straps.

I'm in Finchampstead, about 35 mins on a quiet day, folding jobbie and I just use load tie down straps (which I've got). I'll have a measure of the pieces and if it fits in the car I can drop it off (I work in Newbs).

    Will let you know

Richie/Bob/Jim, thanks all for your offers! Jim as you are the nearest and are prepared to drop it off (fantastic offer - thanks!) let's see if we can arrange it. If you can't bring it over here I'm happy to come to you if it will fit in my car also!

    Thanks Mike

    Mike,

Just measured and unfortunately it's close but no cigar for me, it's 1.5mtr folded and my back seat is only 1.35 across!

If you can fit it in your car let me know and we can arrange a day.

    Cheers
