Looks really nice BUT is that a glass fuel filter I see .... Many posts on here about what could happen if it was to ever crack or break. A replacement would be an urgent job if it was my car.

Not to mention the air filter, those are a real fire hazard.

Argh Roger & Martin - thanks for the heads up - I had no idea but I guess it makes sense if that filter is glass. I will check and look into a suitable replacement (any suggestions?)

I will also research the air filter - I had no idea, so thanks again. Have just been online and can see the clear sense that having a flammable foam pad on top of the carbs is folly. I will research a suitable replacement, am on the Edelbrock website now and there seem a lot of choices for a 4 Carb set up - do you chaps have a favourite?

Really nice looking car that, it has an understated elegant look to it which I like, wire wheels suit it well, not my choice but I do appreciate them.
Don't really see much problem with glass filters myself, I have 2 in my system look very similar and glass is quite thick. I'd possibly be a little more concerned in an unsupported hose like that but unless it hits something (or is hit by something) it's not likely to break, the glass is quite thick.
