I guess several owners will be going as members of the public but previously the CRC hasn't had a stand, so no place for us to display our cars. I go, as do others, with the Sporting Bears to do the dream rides for charity.

I went on the Saturday; bumped into Dave (Dave-I-only-touch-Aluminium-now Dave ), wandered around, looked at shiny things, looked at oily things, fell in love with the colour of two of the cars on the AK stand (the bright, bright metallic candy red and the other one which, for reasons that escape me, I didn't take a picture of!) and the £65,000 split-screen camper van that was on sale (HOW much!?)..

Pictures (well, those taken with my phone, anyway!) don't do either colour justice.

Then I stopped by Digital Speedos and SVC and bought this little lot (I can confirm that Kevin Davies name works wonders at Digital Speedos):

I also love the red AK (known as Ruby). I thought AK had already sold it but I noticed there was a ‘for sale’ sign on it when I was there Friday. Estimated prices on the Silverstone Auction stand were very strong, especially for Fords. Wish I hadn’t sold my Mk2 RS Turbo Escort- £45-£55k! Total Headturners could easily have been confused with a Cobra Club stand had the cars not had very healthy prices on them. Question is, will the bubble burst?
