Having checked by bag of goodies I bought this year at Stoneleigh, it looks like I didn’t buy any boot hinges!!

So I currently have options. Can anyone point me in the direction of internal hinges so I can decide?

There is a thread on here somewhere about fitting MG TF hinges which requires a bit of fabrication but obviously not something you would shy away from!
Advantage is, they are self supporting so no rams needed.

    Thanks

Thinking further down the line, what do you use for rubber trim to seal the boot lid, bonnet, doors etc?

I don’t think many people actually seal the bonnet. I have a series of small bump stops.

    I was looking at this
    https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/product/1286/door-seal

Should be ok? Would I use this around the door apertures as well?

IIRC I had to use 'fin' profile seal for the boot, otherwise the boot wouldn't close (it made it stand proud) - ah yes, googling up the post I stole the info from, this one: https://phoenixtrim.co.uk/01-draught...etre-434-p.asp

For internal hinges, I used the Europa ones: http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/showt...742#post574742

It wasn't too hard to fab, but did take a couple of stabs before it would clear the rear deck properly. If I remember, the key was to have the pivot point 'higher' (closer to the deck skin) than I thought it should be, and closer to the opening than I predicted, to give the right arc. Happy to measure mine if you want to crib, and the fab skills are definitely within your realms if I can manage it

    Thanks Aaron.

I have taken a punt on a set of old MGB roadster hinges that I found on ebay last night for a tenner, so I will see how I get on with them.

Is the general consensus to fit the boot panel first so it sits nice with the body and then look at the rubber seal after?
