    Ak horn problem

I've got my horn working at the wiring at the rear of the boss but not once it's wired in the slipper wiring ring behind the boss
Anyone else had an issue with low power in this ring?
I have the column earted well
I do get continuity through the ring but not enough to sound the horn only to get a click out of the horn

I had a problem as well ended up putting a relay in the wiring to stabilize the voltage and also earthed steering shaft ujs with link wires

Have you put the testers on your column down to Earth, do you have good continuity!

As Dave says, you may need link wires as the actual shaft in the column may be insulated to the rest of the assembly?

Yes the problem seam to be the returning earth from the wheel
I've jumped across the rubber UJ with an earth strap and feed an earth through the slipper cassette to column mounting bracket and from that to main earthing post on wiper motor mounting
But no good earth returns from the steering wheel ?

I had to jumper across the UJs in the shaft between the rack and the column to get continuity.

    It's working, the fix was
I used the two airbag wire through the BMW slipper cassette as feed and earth return
It now has better continuity and works fine

Update the fix didn’t last a year after being on the road and the horns not working again
The BMW slipper ring wiring just isn't up to the job 😔
    Any other suggestions🤔
Wireless Bluetooth relay to bypass it completely is one I heard at Stoneleigh 🤔

This is what I have, as per original cars:

    - it seems to work.

If that's too old school, you could have this:

I also had issues, you have to use a relay to reduce the current through the column.

if now fried, a remote switch on the dash, use a starter type if a relay is not an option.
