    I did a lot of measurements and then made home made brackets with a bit of welding.
    and old motor mounts of early mustang 289 rubbers. Put the engine as far back as possible while keeping the gearbox brackt

    Thank you for the picture. I take it that you have drilled the two pieces sticking up on each mount to mate up with the two tubes in the chassis upright?
    My engine mounts arrived today, so should be able to make some progress this weekend.

    Ford Engine mounts for ram





    i got under the car to make some photos
    some 3d engineering, I added an extra diagonal plate for strength. The bolt of the rubber mount is behind the frame tube. I drilled the holes to reuse the bolts.
    i positioned the bolt holes by hanging the engine in place with the mounts and then measured the position of the holes.
