    Dashboard wiring

    Hi All,
Been putting this task off for a while but can't put if off any longer.
I'm starting wiring my dashboard and a bit confused about the best way to go about it. I'm using Smiths flight gauges.
The AK manual says to daisy chain some of the wires - is this the best approach?
Anyone got any pics they can send?
Also, if i need to extend some wiring - would 8amp cable suffice?

    Thanks

    Pete

    Smiths flight wiring

    Hi Pete,

Yes you "daisy chain" all of the grounds, illumination and power for the Smiths flight gauges, I used Black for ground, Red for illumination and Green for gauge power.

excuse the mess this was taken pre-tidying up.

8 amp is more than enough if you need to extend.

Just make sure you connect to a decent ground if you end up linking the switches an maybe a cigarette lighter socket.

    Alan.

Thanks Alan. Going to have a go at wiring it up on the weekend.

    Cheers
