    Boot wiring

Hi, moving onto the boot wiring shortly. Has anyone got suggestions for innovative ways to secure/hide the wiring possibly coupled with boot floor covering? Any suggestions on connectors? Anyone boxed in the rear of the nearside lights? I want to keep the nearside recess open to fit in golf clubs!

    Many thanks, Mike

If you want to hide them, I think the easiest solution is to run them on the under side of the boot floor rather than bring them into the boot behind the wheel?

No, I'm not "repairing" it, I'm fine tuning its performance.

This a personal choice thing really Mike.

I ran the cable through some conduit right down the middle, then placed some filler foam either side and carpeted the rest, most people panel in the battery, I like your thinking on the other side re: golf clubs, you just might want to secure the lighting wiring high and out the way.

Hi Mike I have run my rear lights through the transmission tunnel into the boot then around the inside of the boot recess on the inside lip. Run down the center then split left and right in conduit

    Hi Mike
Ran mine into boot by roll hoop so only have a short run in wheel arch. Then glassed in cable ties and ran along inside of boot roof and then into area behind battery. Final run to lights was secured with p clips and run under the boot lip behind the bonnet u shape catch.

I have seen some cars with a simple panel fixed in behind the rear lights. Looks tidy but it's a bit awkward to get the shape correct.

put a false panel inside my boot floor and run the wiring within this. carpeted across the top. Provides a more solid Base and hides all conduits.
