    seeing as its been nearly 2 yrs since your last post Paul - ho did you eventually get on with your AK build and color choice? post some pictures up of the finished article - we like pictures on here

    I tried many ways to restore my car steering wheel and i find some interest www.woodensteeringwheels.com. They does steering wheel restoration for classic and news cars.

    Then..
    Old brass pipe fittings - cut up and put in the pot to melt
    Pine wooden pattern in the sand box
    Pour to taste
    Beech segments made from old flooring
    Lathe both halves and
    Cascamite glue the sandwich.

    Now
    Cut out Corsa centre to keep the splines
    and machine away to finish the wooden wheel
    only to find out splinters are an IVA FAIL

    easier to look out a catalogue and place an order
