GD rear Caliper pain in the A?%E!

    Hi Guys,

I am trying to remove the rear calipers on my Mk3 GD.

I have hit a real snag, the top caliper bolts are out but the lower one on the offside comes up against the axle/diff.

I haven't got the nearside out completely yet, come in for a coffee and to ask on here, looks like it may come out OK.

For the life of me I cannot see how the offside caliper is going to come out! am I missing something here?

I have not got the pads out as I cannot even get to the pins to knock them through, but it swivels freely on the lower bolt.

Anyone done this before? Anything I am not doing right?
    Cheers,
    Murray

Sorry, should of said. Running on Jag XJ6.

Update. Got the nearside off and the recon one back up into place, loosely bolted.
    Cheers,

Yes it would certainly be an easy option for any future caliper changes, however I hope with the refurb ones I will not need to do this again for a few years!
