    Brake fluid indicator light

    Hi All

If I have a brake fluid light indicator with a test button do I also need the light to illuminate when the hand brake is on? The reason I ask is that I am having difficulty with the micro-switch on the hand brake not closing.

    Thanks for your help.

You need a telltale light for the handbrake, it doesn’t have to be the same light if you already have a test facility for the brake fluid bulb.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I will just have to sort out the micro switch.

I am not sure that is correct - you need a brake fluid test. Whether its via the handbrake or a separate switch on the dashboard (I used a BL mini switch when i did sva), I dont think matters.

Handbrake warning light is not needed for IVA.
