    Indicator height for iva

Hi, at the moment I've got 350mm to the centre of my indicator from the floor, does anyone know if I can paint half of the indicator lens to pass the iva, thanks

Yes you can paint inside and outside to get the minimum 350 mm height., you could also raise the height via your springs. Cheers Lee

Use an enamel based paint. You can get little pots from b and q. I tried black chassis paint and it was too thin to cover properly. Paint from the inside as well and ensure you get full coverage On the bit you are painting

Make sure you paint the same half on the I side and the outside!

My indictors are measuring 34.5 cm to centre of Sticky out lens type (like mini) at standard ride height. i ve got the motorcycle light jobs are can you as you say paint the lower of the lens out so then the measurement is to the centre of the upper half unpainted bit thus raising the height to 35cm or more? does this actually pass iva? i can still rise ride height also

Yep, I’ve been through two IVA’s with blacked out lens.

Raising the ride height too much may affect self centering.
