    Stoneleigh

Anyone going and if so, what day and where from?
Would be good to get a few going in convoy. Safety in numbers and I'll as always have my tool bag.

Usually there's a large gypsy gathering in the nearby town, when the show's on. Some of the town shuts up for the weekend. The police try and contain them to the field.

The field owner was always being refused planning permission for houses on that field. So, as an act of retaliation he offered it to the caravan mafia. As you say they spoiled the town; pubs, garages and shops were closed after being damaged and staff intimidated / attacked...

I hear he has his planning now! I'll ask my conract in Kenilworth what are the latest rumours on the caravan / vandalism contingent.

I don't think the disruption got as far as Stoneleigh in any case.

Yes I've only seen the aftermath from the round about, when leaving on the Monday.

    Lol!
By safety in numbers I was referring to any reliability issues or break downs en-route.

The gypsy problem in Kenilworth was due to the horse fair they attended, this has now been scrapped because the land it was held on has been sold for development.
