    Early DAX manual ?

Hello, as i explained in my presentation, i have a 1988 dax Tojeiro. I plan to remove the body to make a complete refurbishing of the chassis and mecanical parts (IRS/bushing/brakes/etc). The body seems to be fixed via seats and other nuts (not rivets) but my assembly manual is to late and doesnt correspond to my car ...

So i am looking for an early assembly manual to understand some "old" specific assembly. Help will be really appreciated.
Thanks a lot, have a good day.

    Stéphane.

A picture of your chassis might help as the early Dax didn't come with it's own chassis so might be a different from the ones with the later Dax chassis.

    Hello.
The chassis number begins with DAXM3 i suppose M3 is for make 3 ?
Hereafter is a photo of the front chassis (the car has been converted from RHD to LHD by the previous owner) :

    Thanks for your help.

I have an early Dax manual. It’s pretty basic but happy to share. Let me know what you want. I suppose it would be possible to copy the whole thing and mail it or could scan relevant pages

Really? Wow, I'd love a copy too if that's okay.

Have a 1984 in for Restoration so anything that is in that era would maybe have some value.

    Happy to pay for printing/postage...

I would be very happy if i can have a scan of the whole manual. Let me know if you want a compensation (paypal ?) for the scan work ?
My chassis number start with DAXM3 so i suppose i have a MKIII chassis ?
My main problem is to remove the body which is in good condition (has been previously paint) to access to the chassis frame and it's components (complete restoration need).

    Thanks, have a good day.

I had an early Dax years ago. The best thing I ever did was change out the front chassis for the Mk3 type of design.
The old setup suffered from bump steer.
I took a jig from another chassis and made up a new front. I think Dax can supply the same or even do the job for you. At least they used to.

I think it’s 1985 or 6. I will get it scanned and let you both know when it’s done (hopefully Thursday). Happy to share. I have also altered the steering rack position by making up an adapter to bolt on to the original mounting to avoid bump steer. I know Dax changed their mounting but not exactly sure when.

Just checked, the manual is 1986. Incredibly basic but does have a diagram showing body fixings. Will get it scanned
