    Wrapping camcoated header

    Hi
I had a headers camcoated but have had issues with ht leads touching the headers and burning through. I’m now thinking of wrapping the headers with some dei titanium exhaust wrap from demon tweeks. Does anyone know of any issues wrapping a coated header?
    Thanks
    Pete

Aren't you making this too complicated?
Why not just tidy up your spark plug leads, like this....

I agree if you route your HT leads there should be no need of having to wrap the headers. Get some HT management

You don't want your leads near metal and routed away from heads as best as possible.

So I’ve managed to route the leads better by adapting the ht lead holder I had to run vertical along the rocker cover. This pulls the leads away from the headers more and gives much better clearance.
Only issue now is one spark plug lead boot is almost touching the header. Less than 1mm clearance and it’s started to burn. I’ve seen some shorty spark plugs so will fit these to fix the clearance
