    Sumo Torque Settings

    Hi guys,

Excited to say that the Rover V8 engine that has taken me 3 years to rebuild (due to money and time restrictions!) has been up to an engine shop near me, fired up and run in, no issues and quite good stats, well chuffed.

I’ve also just placed my order for the first two modules from Pilgrim so ridiculously excited to get cracking at the end of this month hopefully!

One query I have is that other than the items covered in the donor Haynes manual, what kind of torque should I be doing all the bolts up to?

    Thanks.
    Thanks,

    Grumbleweed

Anybody? Is there a standard torque rating for the diameter of bolt?

If it's not a donor standard part/bolt then shouldn't the build manual specify the torque?

The manual doesn’t state any torques other than referring to the Haynes manual for a few items.

I think most of the key items should be covered by the Haynes manual eg donor parts and engine. I did ask Pilgrim the same question and I don't think any guidelines exist.
