Ford fe big block 427 oil filter?

    Hi
I’m looking to change the oil and filter on my car but I’m unable to find the same oil filter fitted to the car for sale. The filter fitted is a muller FO65.
If anyone could advise me on a alternative filter I could use that would be great.
    Thanks
    Lee

Most of the Fords are the same thread, I found my 289ci was the same as my 46oci

Halfords HOF 206 and 207, one is short and one is long.
Euro Car Parts Fram HP1, recently fitted to my 460ci

If you can wait till tonight I will dig out the old receipt and post the part number

    Cheers

All the above plus K&N do a high flow one, part number HP-3001 which is what I use currently. I have always used the longer versions.

The Mahle cross reference is useful: https://catalog.mahle-aftermarket.co...eid=99#divider

You can take your reference (FO65) and then see a) what Mahle filter fits and b) what cars used that filter.. then look elsewhere for buying options based on part numbers (e.g. Opel VOF14) or find the Mahle one for sale somewhere: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Knecht-OC-5...dp/B0068MXZ9W/

Eurocarparts had the ones I wanted in stock, so no ordering and waiting.

I use a Mobil 1 M301 and notice a bit higher oil pressure at idle. Preveiously I have used a Fram HP1.
