Geoff,
Agree with Alex your selling your self short to sell above £30k . As it has a Ford in it and you say its new so got a lot going for it. Looks to be a very nice car . Some more photos of the Engine , and interior plus some more detail will get you a lot more interest.
Just testing the water really, see what interest I get, it’s not immaculate - plenty of ‘patina’.í ½í¸Š

Only one pic, but based on that alone (assuming nothing nasty like an auto box or incorrect registration) - its coming into peak season, got a ford lump & nice period looks - only thing that would make that a cobra dealers dream and £40k+ on a forecourt are stripes & sidepipes.
I'd imagine you've got dealers driving to you now at that price....
Another pic.

Nice photos . The engine bay looks very nice and tidy. A 30 year old car with a bit of patina if its the original finish would be expected. A buffer and with paste by a detailer can work wonders and get it back . It does look like a clean car very similar to mine funny enough, underslung exhaust, Ford engine.
Alan it will have Jag XJ running gear. The body on the earlier Dax cars is a lot thicker . They used a lot more wadding in the weave and gel. You only have to run your fingers around the front and rear wheel arches. It feels half as thick on later bodies.
I can sure you will get lots of interest come the weekend.
No, nice old paint, standard XJ6 bits.
Second what the others are saying Mitch, your car should be easily into the £30k's
Prices have risen a lot in recent years and its a nice looking car.
