    Paint would be better, question to the masses though....can you still get an out of the gun paint job for sub £2k nowadays?

    I have heard of all sorts of quotes. Its the prep time and how bad the body is which takes the time. Body panel fitting and flattening makes all the difference in the final finish. I have seen some brilliant polished gel GD and Pilgrim cars which looked painted. They had spent more time on polishing than it would of taken to prep for painting and as long as the body is ripple free.
    I have seen some brilliant home spray jobs done at home garages which look stunning. If you did all the panel prep and flattening your self most sprayers would walk away as they would want to do this stage of the process.
