    Sorry for the confusion, yes plate I was looking at is a "new" 64 plate (2014) GK 64 COB available direct from DVLA just over 300 quid. Will have to wait and see what they send me in a "few" years.

    OK, just tried the new on-line system....computer says no!

    Phoned DVLA, all very efficient and helpful but...... told that as their is not a 5 year history associated with the new vehicle (that is my recently IVA'd Crendon), the transfer has to be done with original paperwork by post. I have no idea why, but there it is.
