    Lets talk tyres...again..

    Hi,
Ok, need choices for my Image 17" wheels.
Ive got some old Goodyear eagle F1 ones on atm, not the assymetrical ones.
They seem grippy but rubber probably old.
    Need new ones for back.
Want stickiest legal tyres i can get, but will be ok in wet with careful driving..
Wanted to go slighty wider than i have now but limited choices...

What you use in 17" for rear??
Eagle F1 , michelin pilot sport, continentalsport, toyo 888???
    Regards
    Gav

If you want sticky then the Yokohama AO52 is very, very good. It's basically a road legal racing tyre. The downside is you won't get too many miles but it will keep you on the road. I have found them amazing. I run 255 40 17 on the rear and 235 45 17 on the front. I have done around 2000 miles on them (they won't do many more!). They are supposed to be good in the wet but I have only done dry miles thankfully! My son is also using them on a Porsche 944 with a 500 bhp LS1 and he also raves about them.

I know, that's the problem, but it works out cheaper than the fuel for mine to cover 2000 miles!! They are expensive, no dispute, but so is a trip off-road. All about needs and choices. They definitely stick!
I am up for a cheaper option if there is one that can perform to the same level..............but at the moment, will be going for the AO52's again.
