    European Cobra Meeting 2020 - 24th to 28th June 2020

As announced during the final evening in Vingsted on Saturday 17th of August, the next European Cobra Meeting (ECM) will take place in Carinthia, Austria. It will be hosted at the Hotel Kirchheimerhof in Bad Kleinkirchheim, very close to the original ECM "birthplace" of Millstatt back in 2009. This is a fantastic 4-star wellness hotel - visit www.kirchheimerhof.at for details.

We have decided to make this ECM longer, so ECM 2020 will run from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June. We have booked the entire Kirchheimerhof for the ECM and, because we anticipate that the 80 available deluxe rooms will perhaps not be enough, we have also booked an extra 20 deluxe rooms in another fine hotel (the Hotel NockResort) just 400 metres away. We will, however, all have dinner together each evening in the main hotel, in the well-proven ECM tradition.

Carinthia is a great location, with exceptional mountain scenery and great lakes, stringed together by wonderful roads. We have compiled a fantastic driving programme for the diehards and, of course, we also offer visits to non-Cobra venues for those who don’t want to drive all day. The 2020 ECM registration fee will include a complimentary Kärnten Card, which offers you free entry to hundreds of attractions and venues. But - more importantly - by having this KCard for a week, all the toll roads are FREE! Even the boats on the lakes will transport you free of charge. The KCard is issued on a personal basis, so we need your date of birth on the booking form - it will remain private, rest assured.

The organisers will arrive on Monday 22nd June, and Early Birds are welcome on Tuesday 23rd June, for whom we will have a programme ready and also for any Late Birds wishing to extend their stay to Monday 29th June.

Demand is expected to be high. Within the first two days we already have ten cars registered - and nine of those are from the UK! Bookings will be made strictly on a “first come, first served” basis. If we are fully booked, we will operate a waiting list for any subsequent cancellations. But do you want to be on that list?

It is therefore highly recommended that you complete the ECM 2020 registration form and return it as soon as possible. For further details, please drop me a PM and I'll advise you of the registration process and add you to the European Cobra Club mailing list to keep you up-to-date with the ECM 2020 newsletters. There have been various Snake Torque articles over the years, and these provide a good source of UK CObra owners' personal ECM experiences. In my personal (and, of course, totally unbiased!) opinion, you haven't really driven a Cobra until you've experienced the thrill of mountain roads and hairpin bends!

    Good man Don!

After six days we now have 32 cars registered - so, as expected, this one is set to sell out fast!
