I have them fitted to my car. I bought the led boards from Spyda and fitted them to the lights myself. Very straightforward. Fitted the lights and they work perfectly.

I'm looking to buy the coffin lights but the LED version. I have a new set of normal ones but I'm I interested to know if anyone has used the Spyada ( can't remember the spelling!) or the one's Europa sell?
Are they the same?
I just want to wire them to the existing wiring
Don't want to mess about just plug and play
If you have fitted them, have they been reliable?
Any feedback, views would be appreciated
Thanks Lee

same here.
But....don't just wire up one side for LEDs thinking you can stand back and do a back-to-back comparison, as the different resistances between LEDs and incandescent bulbs will upset the LED brake/main light function, and you will get odd behaviour.
Took me ages to figure this out, and once I had gotten rid of the standard bulbs on both O/S and N/S rear lights, then all worked perfectly.
You will likely need a new relay for LED indicators, plenty available on ebay, or direct from Spyda.
Good product, imo.

Thanks for responses, one last question, on the LED lights do you still have to cut the big square hole out??
Thanks

I used a small hose saw to cut a hole to cut a hole in the body to make sure there was no stress or binding on the wires, which are quite thin.

Hi Lee,
This is one of my winter upgrades, I also have a set of original Lucas L542's.
I spoke to Spiyda at stoneleigh, and although there LED board looked high quality and did the job well, it came with spare LED's that left me questioning the reliability of the LEDs. Maybe they are just being more than fair to the consumer for there solution?
However I have looked and if you use the original brake and tail setup and add the appropriate LED's then you can keep the original look and fire the indicator through the lower reflector.
I've attached my first test photo, the solution i now have uses higher intensity LED's.
I will be building mine and fitting over the winter, Cost sub £50 a bargain! - drop me a PM if you want yours converting.
