I would worry about the rubbing (probably unnecessarily!),
how about a pop up gazebo?
3*6mtr for £60ish
I need to get a dust cover for the car. Its staying in a barn and as such is a bit dusty. The barn is generally dry but obviously being an old building there is a bit of moisture in the air that comes and goes. I had been thinking on one of these covers, has anyone got or used one for an extended period? My main concern is around trapped moisture causing paint issues.

Any experience or advice would be appreciated

If it’s got power, get a carcoon. Best thing since sliced bread. No dust no moisture, just brilliant things.
kept mine in exactly the same conditions for nearly 3yrs - used one of the Hamilton classics you linked to - no problems with rubbing as the cover never actually moves once on. Only issue i did have was mice making a nest in the passenger footwell and chewing the carpets a bit and the nest under the seat when i got round to cleaning it up.
Can't fault the cover - still using it now, had it about 7-8 years or so.
As Simon mentions, if has power, then a carcoon would be best bet, and should in theory keep mice away too

Thanks guys.
I have power but there's a couple of other cars in the shed so carcoon would make manoeuvring around a bit more tricky and I'm also too tight to shell out.
My concern over using a cover is micro blistering if moisture does get trapped, albeit a truly breathable cover shouldn't let this happen.
cheers

Too tight to shell out? Come on Andy, this is your car we’re talking about not frivolous things like kitchens or new carpets, this is IMPORTANT!

If you just want an indoor cover then I can recommend something like this.....
