    AK dashboard in a Dax

    Hi all.

As in the title, does anyone know if an AK dashboard with the straight lower edge can be made to fit a Dax? If it's too big then it can be made to fit I think. But if it's too small, i.e., not wide enough...well a putting on file hasn't yet been invented!
I want to fit a poor period looking dash with a flat lower edge that is slightly deeper.
Or would someone be kind enough to measure the width of theirs for me please?

Dax used to have the option but it doesn't look as if they do now.

    Cheers,

    David.

If it’s too small, cut it through the middle and glass it back together again just wider

Yeah - that was the story when I spoke to Jon at Stoneleigh recently; they don't have moulds for the 'short' dash anymore. Much sadness.

I made one out of ply for the IVA that I think will pass radius requirements as it is padded (but we will see, I suppose!). If you wanted non-padded you'd need the 19mm radius lower edge though, which is hard to do in anything but metal or GRP.
