"Broadswood calling Danny Boy, come in Danny Boy"

Here's October's stuff https://www.keepandshare.com/doc24/1...-pdf-880k?da=y

Hi to you all, Well. It looks like we are heading full ahead towards grimmer weather. As we write this, the skies are dark and gloomy, and the rain has been making a regular appearance in our little corner of the planet. However, it certainly wasn’t like that for a blissfully balmy weekend in September at The Goodwood Revival. Steve joined Andy & Joy Soar on the www.asmotorsport.co.uk stand. And a great many people stopped by for a chat and a look see, including many of the East Anglian CRC Massive. Those on the stand didn’t get to see a great deal of the racing, but a few snatched minutes wandering around the race paddocks revealed some very agreeable vehicles, including the obligatory slice of Cobra 289 racing cars. As is the required norm nowadays, the majority at the event made some attempt to reconnect with years gone by and dressed up in their period finery. Steve even featured a jaunty trilby as part of his ensemble. The event seems to grow and grow each year and is always lucky with the weather. We’ll both be there next year. Will you? As regards the default local September meet, we haven’t heard whether you flocked to The Hare and Hounds, Leavenheath. Maybe you could update us? On the garage front at Chez Brown, nothing much has been going on with the big black Dax. However, the old girl was brought out of the garage so that Eileen’s tired and bewildered Triumph Spitfire could emerge blinking into the daylight. Sadly, this was not under 1500cc of glorious Triumph power, but rather hauled out of the garage by our ride on lawn mower. This is all part of the master plan to get the (very) old girl tidied up and fully back on the road. Stand by! Which nicely brings us on to this month’s meet on Sunday 20th October. We’re off to West Norfolk this month. We’re not expecting much this month as most are rather remote from this part of the East Anglian world (plus you’ll probably be in the warm / dry). However, how about a revisit – The Swan, Brandon Road, Hilborough, nr Swaffham, Norfolk, IP26 5BW - http://www.hilboroughswan.co.uk/ and 01760 756380. There is a carvery option, so food looks good. Enjoy!
Don’t forget to phone and book if you intend to eat. We’ll continue to populate the ‘3rd Sunday’ calendar with interesting pubs to visit in our usual ‘On Tour’ format. If youhave a recommendation or a favourite venue or know of any worthwhile events in 2019 / 2020, please let us know. October 2019 - West Norfolk November 2019 - East Norfolk January 2020 – West Suffolk February 2020 - East Suffolk etc.
