    Question Credit card scam

    Evening all...

Having trouble getting my head around a scam...

My address and credit card is used to set up an Amazon account by scammer.

They order four items and get them delivered to me at my home address.

First I know of it is when the items turn up and I check my credit card on line and see four transactions, but nothing showing on my Amazon account under "orders" as it's under a different account which I can't see.

So.... What's in it for the scammer???

I've had the items refunded by credit card company and credit card changed to prevent further use so, hopefully, that's the end of it.

The scammer appears to get nothing. Or, is there something more elaborate going on??

    Thanks Lionel.

Have heard of similar before but only difference is that I was charged for these items.

Glad I've got the card renewed now. Will sleep better!
